In this study, we have examined the technology and economics
of the three WPPA routes in commercial use--dihydrate, dihydrate/hemihydrate,
and hemihydrate. The economics of solvent extraction to purify WPPA to industrial
grade has been updated and compared with the economics of making furnace phosphoric
acid in a new plant. Lastly, we have evaluated uranium recovery from WPPA.
