WP Report ABS/SAN Resins This World Petrochemical (WP) report on ABS/SAN Resins contains complete global and country supply/demand balances for the base year, the past five years and five and ten year projections; production, consumption and trade are estimated for ABS and SAN Resins separately in the analysis. Global capacity utilization was 73% in 2007; this was a slight decline from 2006 due to a larger increase in capacity than consumption.  Global ABS/SAN Resins consumption is estimated to have increased by 5.6% in 2007 from 2006, and global consumption is expected to increase by 4.6% per year from 2007 to 2012, declining to 3.5% per year from 2012 to 2017.  Utilization rates are not expected to increase until 2009-2010. Appliance components make up almost 50% of total global consumption of ABS/SAN Resins. Other applications include automotive components, computers, and housewares.
