WP Report Refinery Butylenes This World Petrochemical (WP) report on Refinery Butylenes contains complete global and country supply/demand balances for the base year, the past five years and five and ten year projections. Published January 2008                                                      WP Home    |     View Report       |     Purchase    |    View Sample Report  Abstract Global production and consumption of refinery butylenes in 2007 was approximately 42 million metric tons.  Global refinery butylenes consumption is estimated to have increased by 2.5% in 2007, and is expected to increase on average by 1.3% per year from 2007 to 2012, declining to 0.4% per year from 2012 to 2017.  Alkylate accounted for approximately 62% of global refinery butylenes consumption in 2007, followed by chemical uses with 15% of total consumption.  The following pie chart shows world consumption of refinery butylenes in 2007 by end use:
