Refinery Offgas

This World Petrochemical (WP) report on Refinery Offgas contains complete global and country supply/demand balances for the base year, the past five years and five and ten year projections. Abstract

Global consumption of refinery offgas in 2007 was approximately 34 million metric tons.  Global consumption is estimated to have increased by 1% in 2007, and is expected to increase on average by 1.2% per year from 2007 to 2012, declining to 0.7% per year from 2012 to 2017. 

North America was the largest consuming region in 2007 with almost 50% of total refinery offgas consumption, followed by Northeast Asia with 15%.  The following pie chart shows world consumption of refinery offgas in 2007 by region:
