WP Report Refinery Propylene This World Petrochemical (WP) report on Refinery Propylene contains complete global and country supply/demand balances for the base year, the past five years and five and ten year projections.  The complete report including the analyses and supply/demand tables contains approximately 160 pages.  There is also a table showing projected catalytic cracking and coker capacity additions by producer, location, and (average daily) capacity of the increments, as well as the major global catalytic cracking and coker units by producer and total average daily (base year) capacities. Published January 2008                                                      WP Home   |     View Report    |     Purchase      |    View Sample Report  Abstract Global production and consumption of refinery propylene in 2007 was approximately 41 million metric tons.  Global consumption is estimated to have increased by 4.3% in 2007, and is expected to increase on average by 3.0% per year from 2007 to 2012, declining to 1.1% per year from 2012 to 2017.  Chemical uses accounted for almost 65% of total refinery propylene consumption in 2007, followed by alkylate with 21%.  The following pie chart shows world consumption of refinery propylene in 2007 by end use:
